Simple Fixation Method For Fractures

Simple fixation method for fractures

Fracture is a disease in which the bones of the human body are subjected to external forces, resulting in fractures and fractures. In emergency treatment, for fracture patients who cannot be immediately sent to the hospital, simple fixation methods can effectively alleviate the condition by fixing the fracture site to avoid further damage.

1. Fixation of cervical spine fracture: Firstly, the patient's head and neck should be kept in a neutral position, and the cervical spine should be supported with hard objects such as wooden boards, cardboard, etc., firmly fixed on the midline of the body.

2. Fixation of humeral fracture: Place a piece of cardboard or wooden board under the patient's armpit, then bend the patient's arm to the chest and tightly fit it to the body, and fix it with tape or bandage.

3. Ankle fracture fixation: First, fix the patient's foot on a hard board or wooden board, then tie the board to the leg and fix it with a bandage or tape.

When fixing, be sure not to tighten or loosen too tightly, and also avoid compressing important tissues such as nerves and blood vessels. At the same time, patients should maintain airway patency during fixation, and other parts of the body also need appropriate support and fixation.

The above simple fixation methods can help fracture patients reduce pain and prevent further damage in emergency situations, but ultimately they still need to be sent to the hospital for further treatment as soon as possible.
