What is the difference between a CAM boot and a ROM walker?
A standard CAM walker provides structured immobilization. A ROM walker adds adjustable hinge settings that limit ankle movement at selected angles.
Is a pneumatic walker the same as a standard walker boot?
No. A pneumatic design includes inflatable air support for adjustable fit or compression; this feature is model-specific.
Should we choose a short or a tall walking boot?
Start with the foot and lower-leg coverage required. Height affects upright contact and fitting, so compare the selected model rather than using height alone.
Do all walker boots have adjustable angle settings?
No. ROM hinges are provided only on specific models. Fixed walking boots should not be described as ROM devices.
